Attorney Moyer is a native to the area graduating from high school in the Northeastern Pennsylvania Area. During high school Attorney Moyer was a tri-sport athlete, worked part-time for local construction companies, all while earning his Eagle Scout rank at a young age.
Soon thereafter he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History with concentrations in International Relations and World Affairs from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. While at West Chester University, Attorney Moyer was a Leadership Consultant, and the President of The Friars’ Society – a service organization – that averaged over 1,000 hours community service per semester, and helped fundraise over $2,000 to help provide for a family in need from the Crime Victims Center during the holiday season.
Following his undergrad studies, Attorney Moyer attended Florida Coastal School of Law where he competed on the school’s Moot Court Honor Board arguing cutting edge legal issues, and became the nationally ranked first place team. In addition to earning his Juris Doctorate, Attorney Moyer has a Certificate in Research, Writing, and Drafting from Florida Coastal School of Law.
During law school Attorney Moyer also completed a judicial externship for two different Court of Common Pleas Judges gaining irreplaceable experience in both civil and criminal cases. During this time Attorney Moyer was responsible for the legal research, and drafting of judicial opinions for a high volume of cases along with being directly involved with multiple trials. From this experience Attorney Moyer was able to learn what it takes for a client to be successful before both a criminal and civil judge, which he now implements with his clients.
Some notable cases Attorney Moyer has handled include: a $70,000.00 settlement close to the defendant tortfeasor’s full policy limits when the initial offer was only $5,000.00; a $64,000.00 settlement on a motor-vehicle collision when the initial offer was $7,500.00; a $57,500.00 settlement for the full policy limits of the defendant tortfeasor; a $49,750.00 settlement close to the policy limits when the initial offer was $8,500.00; a $28,000.00 settlement for a motor-vehicle collision when the initial offer was $3,000.00; an $11,850.00 settlement for a couple involved in a motor-vehicle incident when the only offer was only $500.00 for each involved. Attorney Moyer has helped get his clients compensation that has reached fourteen (14) times what was initially offered, and in less time than his clients had anticipated.
Attorney Moyer has also helped numerous people get the Social Security benefits they have wrongfully been denied, and keep the Firm’s Social Security success rate above average. In the Firm’s Criminal Division, Attorney Moyer has represented clients for charges ranging from summary offenses, to more severe charges carrying multiple years in state prison and thousands of dollars in fines. Attorney Moyer was also not afraid to fight for his client’s rights due to other’s negligence by using his judicial background to draft legal memorandum to the Supreme Court, and Superior Court of Pennsylvania in addition to his frequent appearances before the Court of Common Pleas. Additionally, he has been published in the Philadelphia Legal Intelligencer, the local Jurist, and even continuing legal education books referenced by other attorneys on cutting edge legal issues Attorney Moyer has handled.
Despite all this, Attorney Moyer still continues to give back to his community by actively participating in pro bono cases, along with all the attorneys at the Pisanchyn Law Firm, maintaining the Firm’s status as a “100% Pro Bono Participation” firm for the past five (5) years consecutively. Outside of the legal field, Attorney Moyer remains a strong advocate of the Boy Scouts of America assisting where possible, and a member of the local Masonic Lodge.
