ZELIENOPLE — Another lawsuit alleging sexual assault has been filed against the former Glade Run Lutheran Services youth home.
The Pisanchyn Law Firm filed the complaint Monday in Butler County Court on behalf of a now-19-year-old boy, who was 13 at the time of the alleged incidents. The same firm filed two separate lawsuits last year against the Zelienople center on behalf of former residents of the home on similar allegations.
According to Monday’s lawsuit, a 13-year-old boy was placed in the home in January 2012 and was sexually assaulted between March and May of that year by other residents. The lawsuit said assaults continued even after they were reported to Glade Run personnel.
The Zelienople center was closed in 2015 by the state Department of Human Services after several reports of abuse there surfaced. No criminal charges were ever filed in the case.
