In C.O. v. Universal Health Services, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania issued a critical ruling on “snap” removal, a legal tactic that has been increasingly used by defendants to transfer cases to federal court before a forum defendant is served.
3rd child files lawsuit against Glade Run

The owners of a chain of care facilities in Northeastern Pennsylvania, based in Scranton, have agreed to pay $1.2 million as a result of the care Drums resident Sandra Dunkle, 61, received at their facility in Wright Twp.

Plaintiff’s passing leads to substitution in wrongful death suit against Geisinger Medical Center
Due to the death of a plaintiff, one representing the estate of a Carbondale woman who passed away from cardiac arrest three years ago while in the care of Geisinger Medical Center, another individual has been substituted to stand in for the litigation.
