Christy Nihen a Paralegal in the Workers’ Compensation division of The Pisanchyn Law Firm. She attended The Pennsylvania State University and obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with concentration in Business Administration/Marketing & Management. Christy was actively involved in many on campus activities including Lion Ambassador, Orientation Leader and fundraising for THON – the largest student-run philanthropy in the world to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer.
Christy began her legal career as a clerk in a Scranton based law firm while attending high school. After gaining valuable experience and knowledge, her interest in law continued throughout college and she was hired as a paralegal for a defense firm for several years after graduation. Thereafter, Christy joined the Pisanchyn Law Firm focusing her career on helping individuals involved in serious work accidents.
Having experience in both the defense and claimant aspects of Workers’ Compensation law, it has given Christy the ability and knowledge to know how both sides of a workers’ compensation case works. This knowledge allows Christy to work closely with the attorneys and devote her time and attention to making sure that our clients receive the compensation they deserve.
Outside of her legal career, Christy enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending different sporting events (especially Penn State football games), and traveling – both within the United States as well as abroad. She has visited several European countries including Switzerland, Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic.
